Localizing pharmaceutical, medical technology and life sciences documents

AAC Global has more than 30 years of experience in translating pharmaceutical and life sciences documents and technical documentation. We have covered translations of clinical documentation such as protocols, patient information, patient questionnaires and correspondence to and from the Swedish Medical Products Agency and the Swedish Ethics Appeal Board. We handle regulatory documentation such as product information for physicians (SPCs) and patients (PILs), labels, marketing material, product presentations and user manuals.

For the past 30 years, we have cooperated with clients such as Pharmacia/Pfizer and Astra Zeneca. We mainly provide these customers with translation services.

Translation of SNOMED CT database

As commissioned by the National Board of Health and Welfare, AAC Global is responsible for translating the SNOMED CT database (Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine – Clinical terms) from English to Swedish. This project, which includes 300,000 concepts and more than 1 million words that are embedded in specific software, allows us to test our extensive terminology management know-how.

We ensure quality in medical translations

Precision and accuracy are of the utmost importance in pharmaceutical documentation, which is why we are so adamant about keeping up to date with industry requirements and guidelines from regulatory bodies such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the European Agency for the Evaluation of Medicinal Products. In addition, we carefully select our translators, by training and testing them in industry-specific terminology and procedures as well as in the above requirements. We check the translations at their source and subject each project to quality reviews with the target market.

Cooperation results in high-quality translations

You can contribute greatly to the quality of the translation by carefully reviewing the source text before sending it to us for translation, providing us with relevant reference material (such as a glossary) and by answering our questions on terminology or the process. This type of cooperation results in high-quality translations.
